eSIM help

Add data to an eSIM

If your data or days run out during a trip, you can buy another plan. Here is how to check what you have used and how to avoid a gap.

  1. Check how much you have used
  2. Add more data
  3. Avoid a gap

Check how much you have used

  • iPhone: open Settings, Mobile Service and scroll down to see the data used in the current period.
  • Android: open Settings, then Network and internet or Connections, and look for Data usage.

The phone’s count can differ from the network’s, so treat it as a guide and do not wait until the last megabyte.

Add more data

You can buy another plan for the same destination at any time. It comes as a new eSIM with its own QR code.

Top-ups to an installed eSIMYour account does not offer top-ups to an eSIM that is already installed yet. Until it does, more data comes as a new plan on a new eSIM.

Avoid a gap

  1. Buy the new plan while the old one still has some data left.
  2. Install the new eSIM straight away. It can download over the old eSIM’s data or over Wi-Fi.
  3. When the old plan ends, set the new eSIM as the line for Mobile Data and turn on Data Roaming for it.
  4. Delete the old eSIM only after the new one works.
The new plan starts when it first connectsIts days do not start while it is installed but switched off.
