How to install an eSIM on iPhone or Android

Install your Niceway eSIM at home on Wi-Fi, keep it switched off, and turn it on when you land. It takes about two minutes.

Before you start

  • Your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Dial *#06#: if you see an EID, it supports eSIM.
  • You are on Wi-Fi. Installing downloads the eSIM profile, which needs a connection.
  • You have the QR code from your email or from Orders in your account. Open it on another screen, or on an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later, touch and hold it in the email.
Installing does not start your planThe days count from the first connection in your destination, so installing a week early is fine.

Install on iPhone

  1. Open Settings and tap Mobile Service. On some versions it is called Mobile Data.
  2. Tap Add eSIM, then Use QR Code.
  3. Scan the QR code. If you only have the iPhone, open the email instead, touch and hold the QR code and tap Add eSIM.
  4. Name the line Niceway and choose it for Mobile Data only. Keep your usual line as primary for calls and texts.

After your trip

You can leave the eSIM installed and switched off, or delete it in the same menu. Deleting cannot be undone, and a deleted eSIM cannot be installed again.
