Your eSIM connects to a partner network in Egypt and switches if the signal is better on another one. The networks for each plan are confirmed at checkout.
Egypt trips often combine Cairo and the pyramids with a Nile cruise and a few days on the Red Sea. Ride-hailing apps such as Uber and Careem are the easiest way to agree a fare in Cairo, and maps help in the busy streets around the bazaars.
Coverage is good in cities, along the Nile and in the resort towns. Out in the Western Desert, on the long road to Abu Simbel and on dive boats far offshore the signal fades or disappears. Some Nile cruise boats offer Wi-Fi, but it is often slow.
Example for a 10 GB, 30-day plan. Nothing is used until the eSIM connects in Egypt.

Along most of the river between Luxor and Aswan you pass close enough to towns to keep a signal, with quieter stretches in between.
Yes. The Giza plateau sits on the edge of greater Cairo and is well covered, as are the temples in Luxor. At Abu Simbel, far to the south, coverage is thinner.
In Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab and the other resort towns, yes. On boats out at the reefs and inland in the Sinai mountains, coverage is patchy.
Yes. The plan starts when the eSIM first connects in Egypt. Install it within 180 days of buying.
