Your eSIM connects to a partner network in Thailand and switches if the signal is better on another one. The networks for each plan are confirmed at checkout.
Bangkok runs on apps: cars and motorbike taxis through Grab or Bolt, food delivery, and maps for a city where the BTS Skytrain, the MRT and the river boats all connect. Further south, ferry and island transfer bookings arrive on your phone too.
Coverage is good in cities, resort towns and on the main islands. On smaller islands, in national parks and on jungle treks around Chiang Mai and Pai the signal can drop, and boat crossings between islands can be patchy.
Example for a 10 GB, 30-day plan. Nothing is used until the eSIM connects in Thailand.
The QR code arrives straight away. The 30 days have not started.
Install on Wi-Fi at home. Keep it switched off until you land.

Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. If it was bought from a mobile network on contract, ask them to unlock it before you travel.
No. Thai SIM cards bought locally are registered with a passport, but a travel eSIM connects as a visiting line on a partner network, so you do not register it in Thailand.
The main tourist islands are covered by Thai networks, with the best signal near piers and villages. Beaches on the far side, viewpoints and dive boats offshore can be out of range.
Yes – maps, messaging and ride-hailing use little data. A 3 GB plan covers a week of that; choose 10 GB or more if you post videos or work online.
