Your eSIM connects to a partner network in the United States and switches if the signal is better on another one. The networks for each plan are confirmed at checkout.
Distances are long and much of the country is built around the car, so maps, ride-hailing and digital tickets for games, shows and parks do a lot of work on a US trip. Having data from the airport onwards also saves hunting for Wi-Fi to order your first ride.
Coverage is strong in cities and along the interstates. National parks are a different story: large parts of Yellowstone, Death Valley and the Grand Canyon backcountry have little or no signal, so download offline maps before you drive in.
Example for a 10 GB, 30-day plan. Nothing is used until the eSIM connects in the United States.
The QR code arrives straight away. The 30 days have not started.
Install on Wi-Fi at home. Keep it switched off until you land.
The 30 days start from the first connection to a partner network.
Whichever comes first. For more data, buy another plan.
You need Wi-Fi and the QR code from your email or your account. Menu names differ slightly between phone models.

Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. If it was bought from a mobile network on contract, ask them to unlock it before you travel.
Both are served by US networks, but the signal outside the main towns is thinner, especially in Alaska. Check the coverage list on the plan before you pay.
No. Keep your usual SIM switched on for calls and texts, so sign-in codes keep arriving on your usual number, while the eSIM handles data. Check what your own provider charges for receiving texts abroad.
A United States plan works only in the United States. For a trip that crosses a border, a North America regional plan covers the US, Canada and Mexico on one eSIM.
Yes. The plan starts when the eSIM first connects in the United States. Install it within 180 days of buying.
