Your eSIM connects to a partner network in Sri Lanka. The networks for each plan are confirmed at checkout.
Most visitors loop around the island – Colombo, the Cultural Triangle, the hill country and the south coast – using drivers, trains and tuk-tuks booked through apps such as PickMe and Uber. Data helps with all of it, and with checking train seats and safari pick-ups.
Coverage is good along the coast and in towns. On the famous train between Kandy and Ella the signal comes and goes in the tea-country valleys, and in national parks such as Yala it can disappear.

Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. If it was bought from a mobile network on contract, ask them to unlock it before you travel.
At stations and near towns you have signal; in the valleys between them it drops in and out. Download tickets and maps before you board.
Ride-hailing apps such as PickMe and Uber work in Colombo and many towns and show the fare upfront. They need mobile data, which is one of the best reasons to have the eSIM.
A Sri Lanka plan works only in Sri Lanka. If you continue to the Maldives, add a separate Maldives plan for that part of the trip.
Yes. The plan starts when the eSIM first connects in Sri Lanka. Install it within 180 days of buying.
