Your eSIM connects to a partner network in Tanzania. The networks for each plan are confirmed at checkout.
Many trips here combine a safari in the northern parks with a beach week on Zanzibar, linked by short flights. Data keeps transfers, park bookings and messages with your guide in one place, and helps in Stone Town, whose alleys are easy to get lost in.
Coverage is reasonable in Arusha, Dar es Salaam and around Zanzibar’s towns and beaches. In the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro area the signal is limited and patchy, and on Kilimanjaro it depends on the route and the camp. The plans priced here run on 3G, so expect maps, messages and light browsing rather than video.

Yes. Zanzibar is part of Tanzania and is served by Tanzanian networks, so one plan covers the mainland and the islands.
On some routes and at some camps you pick up a signal, on others you do not. Your guide will tell you where to expect it; do not plan around being online on the mountain.
The plans we price for Tanzania run on 3G, which suits maps, messages and light browsing. Check the speed on the plan before you pay; for video calls, a lodge with Wi-Fi is the better bet.
